Overview

This program addresses the fundamental shift introduced by the 1445H Zakat Collection Bylaw, applicable to fiscal years beginning in 2024. It combines the Shariah basis of zakat with the regulatory treatment adopted by the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA), supported by hands-on exercises in computing the zakat base under both methods and preparing the zakat return. The content covers additions and deductions, mixed-ownership treatment, sector-specific cases, and the objection and installment mechanism. Trainees leave able to prepare a sound return that reduces the risk of deemed assessment and penalties.
